This is my Art Summary of 2012~ Wah, I think I've drawn a lot of drawings in this past year compared to the year of 2011. Although I'm a bit disappointed in myself for not improving some of the things I aimed for 2012, I'll definitely work on them this year! But then again, I'm actually quite pleased that I was able to improve on some areas. Such as finding an original anime/manga drawing style, my anatomy (it's still bad though), drawing more details, and being able to draw a lot of gifts to those I love. I also drew many things for the first time, ahaha;; What do you guys think? Do you think I improved?
January: [link] First artwork of the year~ I pretty much took January easy and didn't draw much. Still drew in my REALLY OLD style;; asdfksjlj-- I attempted to draw boys again, like what I said I'd improve on this year. butineverdidlol Apparently, I didn't know that human bodies aren't sticks. = v =;; February: [link] Finally began to improve on my style, adding more eyelashes to female eyes and making it seem more...shoujo-like? Anyway, I began to draw in different poses, and tried to improve my coloring skills. ; u ; I also worked on anatomy, but it's still pretty bad. March [link]: Er, I think this was the only drawing of my persona that year, LOL. I've sketched out a lot of IDs, but never got to finish them, orz;; So I tried a different coloring style and was pretty satisfied with it. And that was when I hit over a 100 watchers on deviantART~! ♥ Thanks to my lovely watchers~ April: [link] Finally created one of my OCs, Yerin~ I think I was going through a desu desu desu phase because Yerin sprouted out from DESU-NESS, LOL-- /slapped// Same as ever, but I think this was when my art style took on a slight change and everything I drew became all...cute.;;; May: [link] Revived one of my old OCs and got back into drawing guys~ Although my boys still look girly. ; A ; His name used to be Aoi, but since it was a pretty over-used name, I changed it to Suzuya. = v =;; Wanted to make him unique...you know? ... Or not? /is hit// Anyway, I changed my shading style slightly here. June: [link] I was really, really happy about how this turned out when I finished it, lol. Lots of people on YouTube seemed to like it, surprisingly. I think that month was when I started to experiment A LOT on my styles and skills. Especially the coloring. I also began to do a bunch of gifts, ahaha;; July: [link] Ehh, I didn't really do much on that month, since I was... what on earth was I doing that month? I still can't draw people holding their clothes in their hands. I also began to pixel that month, although it was only once...;; Argh, I need to get back to that soon! August: [link] YAY, CONTESTS~ I entered two contests for the first time online that month. Other contests were school-related, LOL. Oh yey, boys again~ I think this month was when I started to majorly improve my skills, such as changing my art/coloring style and started to use colors that would make the drawing pop out. I also introduced my new Chinese OC, Xiao Mei. argh, I need to draw her more;; September: I-I don't think everybody knows this drawing since I never uploaded it and that I never really did finish it, LOL. This was a pretty personal drawing of my more older brother who I found about for the first time of my life. I'm pretty sure that none of you guys would actually care about my personal life though, LOL, SOOO, MOVING ON~ I got into traditional art at that moment, but soon enough, Hurricane Isaac came, so I was unable to draw anything proper, sigh;; but I drew backs of people for the first time~ October: [link] I was pretty pleased with this drawing, given for how it was a line-less one. Tried foreshortening for the first time too~ I also made a drawing for my mom's birthday for the first time and was able to draw someone in a 3/4's view, along with that really bright background glow effect, LOL. November: [link] The start of a new style~! Again, I used a variety of colors to make the characters and details seem to stand out, such as putting in more dark shading. I also drew Yerin again in her new design~ Was pretty happy that month, haha~ December: [link] I wasn't able to draw much this month due to procrastination and exams. ; 3 ; My drawing/coloring skills were getting a bit rusty, but I somehow managed. = v =;; I think I'm going to start to pay attention to details now, but I'll try not to over-do it!
Goals for 2013! Improve on: Seriously draw more males. >:U Drawing actual backgrounds, instead of slapping on patterns/textures and calling it a bg, LOL. Experiment with my styles, of course. Probably going to start drawing action scenes or something for a change of pace. It's getting a bit boring to draw just-pose-for-the-camera drawings all of the time nowadays;; Work more on perspectives. Begin to make PVs and animate.
I'm not sure as to whether or not I'll open commissions soon, but if I do, they're probably going to be money-paid commissions. I don't really need points, LOL. But if anyone's interested, just let me know and I'll think about it~ And I'll probably be making a different YouTube account for singing covers, ohoho~ But shh, you don't know that yet. e v e Oh yeah, I'll also be dumping some old WIPS and sketches of drawings I never did finish on my tumblr.;;
Also, I just want to thank everybody and the people who I've become good friends with on deviantART. Without you guys, I don't think I would have been able to go this far in art without all of your love and support. I hope you guys can continue to look forward to my future work! I'll try to be more active on deviantART, too! Again, Happy New Years to everyone, and I hope that you all will be able to reach your dreams/goals and have a wonderful, healthy year of 2013! ♥ //oh crap, I typed so much stuff--- shot for talking so much/
